Last week three members of Formula Manipal attended ‘The National Vehicle Dynamics Seminar’ held at Pune from 8^th -11^th September. The seminar was conducted by Mr.Claude Rouelle (President, Optimum G) who is a judge at the FS UK and FSG competitions. The seminar was for industry professionals but Mr.Rouelle was kind enough to invite us for the seminar.

This was a very good opportunity for us to learn the intricacies of vehicle dynamics and interact with the R&D engineers of top Indian Automotive companies. The venue for the seminar was ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) and we were impressed by the state of the art facilities

available there, we spoke to their engineers who were very enthusiastic about our project and offered to help us during the testing of our vehicle.

The seminar itself was a great learning experience, the first two days were theory sessions on vehicle dynamics but the fun part was on the third day when we were taken for the testing of a Mahindra Scorpio at VRDE, Ahmednagar. Last day was analysis of the recorded data and how to use it for improving the performance of the vehicle.
